The SEEDS project, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme, has reached a significant milestone with the successful completion of its educational programme.

Launched in 2024, SEEDS has focused on equipping pre-primary and primary school teachers with innovative methodologies that integrate Eco-Art, environmental education, and psycho-social tools to promote well-being and ecological awareness among young learners. Through this creative and interdisciplinary approach, teachers are encouraged to connect children with their environment, fostering empathy, creativity, and responsibility toward nature.

The newly completed educational programme represents a key achievement of the project, providing educators with practical training modules and learning resources designed to help them incorporate Eco-Art into everyday classroom activities. These materials emphasize experiential, non-formal teaching methods that link emotional development with environmental consciousness.

Following this milestone, SEEDS will begin implementing the programme in selected schools in Spain and Cyprus, allowing teachers to apply the developed methods and observe their impact in real classroom settings. Furthermore, the project’s educational materials will soon be made publicly available on the SEEDS partners’ websites, ensuring open access for educators, institutions, and anyone interested in integrating Eco-Art and sustainability into their teaching practices.

In addition, any school interested in participating in the SEEDS project is warmly invited to join. Schools can collaborate in testing the educational materials, exchange experiences with partner institutions, and contribute to building a broader European network of environmentally conscious and creative educators. Those interested are encouraged to get in touch with the SEEDS team for more information on how to get involved.

By combining art, ecology, and education, SEEDS empowers teachers to act as change agents in their communities, inspiring future generations to care for both their own well-being and the planet. The project continues to demonstrate the power of creativity and collaboration in shaping a more sustainable and compassionate society.
